Meet the Breed
- Temperament: Bold, Friendly, Outgoing, Playful, Goofy and Silly, Protective, Tenacious, Smart and alert, affectionate, tend to be bossy and sassy.
- Lifespan: 12 years – 15 years on average
- Average Weight: 25 pounds but no minimum stated in the breed standard.
- Females: 18 – 24 pounds
- Males: 22-28 pounds
- Height: 9 inches – 12 inches
- Coat Types: Standard Corgi, Glamor Coat Corgi and Fluffy Corgi
Life With A Pembroke Corgi
"They don't shed, they emit magical fibers of love and joy!" - Okay, okay, they do shed, but only twice per year - January through June and July through December! All jokes aside, everything else they have to offer makes the shedding just an after-thought. You'll never have to face the loneliness of going anywhere, including to the bathroom, alone again once you are owned by a corgi. They are the most dedicated, loyal breed you could ask for and will be your constant shadow. They are sassy, they are silly, they are smart. We get feedback regularly from the families who own one of our puppies that the only breed they ever plan to own from now on is a corgi and that they'll be back to visit us when they're ready to add the next one. They come in a variety of colors including red, sable, fawn and two colors of tri. Pembroke Welsh Corgis do NOT come in merle despite what you may see some breeders advertise. Pembroke welsh corgis also come in three coat types - standard, glamor or fluffy corgis.
