Go to our forms page and fill out our Questionnaire. Once you complete it, return it to Jessica@magnoliacreekcorgis.com for approval.
Once you have completed and returned our questionnaire form and I have notified you that it has been approved, you will have the option to join one of our wait lists. We do keep several lists going at any given time. There is a $175 non-refundable reservation fee to join one of our wait lists. This fee is NOT a deposit on a puppy, but WILL be applied to the deposit once you choose a puppy. The reservation fee reserves your spot on our wait list to ensure your chance at getting one of our puppies. This fee is NOT refundable but we do allow you to transfer it to a future litter TWO times. Your picking spot is NOT reserved until you have sent in your reservation fee and get confirmation it has been received.
Once you have reserved your spot on one of our waiting lists, I will keep you updated along the way about litters that match what you're looking for and your estimated wait time as it changes. Once a litter arrives that meets what you're looking for and it is your turn to pick your puppy, you will have 24 hours to do so. The deposit for your puppy will be due within 48 hours of you making your selection. When you reserve your puppy, it's a good idea to go ahead and schedule a wellness visit with your vet for 3 to 7 days after your puppy's estimated go home date - vet offices are consistently booked up for weeks or even months in many areas of the country, so be sure to plan ahead. It's better to have the appointment and need to cancel or reschedule it than to need it and not have it, however we no longer require you to take your puppy to a wellness visit within 72 hours of getting your puppy. You can now skip that appointment if you wish, but in doing so, are agreeing to accept the assessment of the veterinarian who administered their final wellness checks while with us the week that they were going to be old enough to start leaving.
At this point, you know which puppy is yours, your deposit has been paid and you know when the puppy will be ready to go home with you - all you need to do now is enjoy the weekly photos and videos we share as your baby grows. We recommend that during this time, you prepare for the arrival of your new family member - order food, set up their crate, look into puppy training classes in your area, interview and select the veterinarian you will be using, stock up on treats, chews and toys, etc.
As the weeks fly by and the big puppy "gotcha day" is approaching - depending on if you are picking your puppy up in person or your puppy will be delivered to you, the following may or may not apply to you.
If you are picking up in person, when your puppy is around 6 to 7 weeks old, we will need to start setting up a meeting time and place. You will need to have picked the veterinarian you plan to use and have an appointment set up with them that falls within 72 hours of you getting your puppy. The balance you owe for the puppy is due in cash when we meet in person.
If your puppy will be delivered to you, immediately after final vet checks - when your puppy is 7 to 8 weeks old, we will need to arrange the travel for your puppy. We do not offer cargo shipping on our puppies but delivery is available via in-cabin, accompanied flights to your preferred major airport. Scheduling flights and booking the trip will take a few days at minimum to arrange. We try to have this planned and the trip set no sooner than the puppy's final wellness check at the vet and no later than the weekend they are able to leave and travel home. Puppies being delivered must be paid for in FULL no later than at least 72 hours prior to the puppy's planned date of departure, possibly earlier depending on the payment method you use. You should have a health check appointment set with the veterinarian of your choosing scheduled for your puppy that is within 72 hours of your puppy arriving.
Between 7 and 8 weeks of age, we will go over the purchase contract which includes our 3 year health guarantee.
Generally, our puppies start heading to their new homes beginning the Friday after they turn 8 weeks old if they were born on a Monday through Thursday but no sooner than their 8 week old birthday if they were born between Friday and Sunday. If your puppy is being delivered via flight nanny, it may be an additional week before it arrives to you depending on how many puppies will need to travel during that time.
Once you have your puppy from us all the real fun begins! Love them, care for them, enjoy them and don't forget to send us lots of "pupdate" pictures and stories!
Q: Where are you located?
A: We started off and spent several years in central Oklahoma. In the fall of 2020 we made a massive move to southern Alabama and so far, we're loving it! We are near the Florida state line, just above the Florida panhandle - pretty equal distance from Montgomery, Destin and Pensacola (which also happen to be the 3 best airports for meeting if you decide to fly in to pick up your puppy). We are still offering delivery to all major airports across the US via Nikki, an amazing flight nanny we've been working with for years.
Q: Do you offer financing?
A: Yes, we do! We actually have a coule of payment options available. Option one is true financing (the whole nine-yards of a credit check, legal documents and interest). To be eligible for this, there are a few basic requirements, such as 1yr of employment, minimum of $1300/mo net income, active checking account older than 3 months and a minimum FICO score of 550. The financing can be set up for up to a 35 month schedule and can include the purchase price, delivery if needed, etc. Payment amounts are fairly low - usually around $100-$150 per month on a $2000 financed amount. With this option, you CAN take your puppy home immediately as soon as financing is approved. Option two is more of a layaway plan, directly with us. You can make payments at your convenience (you choose when, how often and the amount). It is quick and easy to set this up and anyone is eligible. Once the balance is paid, or at least reaches a balance that you are confident in, you can choose your puppy and the puppy can go home to you when paid in full at 8 weeks. There are no fees or costs for doing this option, however, all payments made are non-refundable.
Q: Are you required to join a wait list to get a puppy?
A: No. You do not have to join a wait list to be considered for a puppy however, we can not gauge how long your wait may be because each person who does join a wait list will get first priority in picking.
Q: Is the reservation fee an additional fee on top of the purchase price?
A: No. The reservation fee is applied to the total purchase price at the deposit stage. For instance - if a puppy's deposit is $375, someone who has already paid $175 to be on the wait list would only owe $200 when they pick their puppy and deposits are due. If by chance we had an available puppy past what our wait list chose, someone with an approved questionnaire could decide to reserve that puppy but the full deposit of $375 would be due. Deposits typically range between $275 and $875 depending on the total purchase price.
Q: How is picking order determined?
A: Picking order is determined in two ways. The first, and with most litters, the only method available is based on our wait list. Each person who chooses to join the wait list is added in order by date - we use the date we receive their reservation fee. Our wait lists are optional, and at times we may have more puppies born in a litter than we were expecting and therefore have one or two available. When this is the case, we will first announce that puppies are available and we will give preference to anyone who previously filled out a questionnaire and was approved but who did not join a wait list and preference will again be given based on date - we use the date the questionnaire was submitted to us. However, the only way to ensure you do get to pick one of our puppies from an upcoming litter is to join one of our waiting lists.
Q: What is the average pricing of your puppies?
A: This varies and depends on what you're looking for. Our prices start at $1975 for our tri, red or sable colored American Corgi puppies. Prices for our AKC Pembrokes start at $2175. Prices for our merle patterned American Corgis start at $2500. Fluff pricing starts at $2500-3500 (Pet/companion only, full rights not available). Pricing varies from those starting points based on the genetic traits of the puppy, registration factors, parentage, etc.
Q: Do you do any genetic health testing or offer a health guarantee?
A: Yes we do! All of our breeding adults have been tested for DM, VWD1, EIC and PRA at a minimum - most have been full panel tested for all testable genetically inheritable disorders, including those not specific only to the breed(s). Health and temperaments are at the forefront of our program goals and we use the status of each dogs health testing as pieces of the entire breeding puzzle. Knowledge of these testable issues, what these test results actually mean as well as the ancestry of all the untestable diseases (like cancer, addisons, cushings, thyroid issues, heart problems, etc.) are equally important. Our puppies are not typically individually tested but if a certain status is important to you, please let me know prior to selecting your puppy so that we can either discuss the pairings that are best matched to your preferences or the potential need for individual testing.
We offer a 3 year health guarantee on all puppies we produce as well as lifetime informational support.
Q: How long is your wait list? How long will it take to get my puppy?
A: This varies of course, but we purposely keep our wait lists down to a manageable number of people and generally speaking, at any given time of year, you should be able to at least pick out (if not actually pick up) your puppy within 1 to 6 months from the date you joined the wait list.
Q: Where are your puppies raised?
A: All of our litters are born and raised in our home. They usually start off in our living room so that I can sleep on the couch next to their momma until she goes into labor at which time we welcome each baby into the world as they arrive. After a few days to a week, we move them into our kitchen or dining room so that they are always in the heart of our home and get daily exposure to family life. During the weeks we have them as they grow, we prepare them as best we can for their eventual transition from our home to yours. Aside from all the fun sides of raising puppies - playing with them, enjoying puppy snuggles multiple times each day, etc. - we also focus on things that will make your life easier once you get your puppy and that will get them off to the best start possible. These things include potty training, crate training, socialization with other pets (small dogs, big dogs, cats, etc.), nail trimming and grooming exposure, lots of ENS and of course, love.
Q: Do your puppies come registered or with registration applications?
A: All of our adult dogs are registered with the top kennel club for their breed - so for our Pembrokes, they are registered through AKC and our Americans are registered through ContKC, and registration is an option in any of our litters if you are looking for full rights with the intent to breed in the future. For puppies purchased with the intention of being prospects for breeding or conformation showing completions, yes, registration applicatios are provided, however, not all puppies are available on full rights. We believe only the best should be chosen for full rights and are selective both in which puppies are eligible for as well as which homes we will offer full rights to. For puppies being purchased for the purposes of being a beloved pet, companion or participating in performance sports and competitions - registration or registration applications will NOT be provided at the time the puppy goes home, but limited registration applications can be requested after the dog/puppy has been spayed/neutered and proof of such is provided to us. Almost every registration application sent home to families who truly didn't intend to breed, got lost in drawers somewhere by the buyers within weeks of the puppies arrival home. They truly serve no purpose other than to record pedigrees of dogs and their offspring. That piece of paper does not change the quality, health or temperament of the dog. There are no shortage of *AKC ReGiStEreD* dogs (in all breeds) who are absolute train wrecks when it comes to structure, temperament and especially health. Those attributes don't come from a piece of paper and while AKC is considered America's best kennel registry, their job is only to record pedigrees, not to ensure quality. If you have any questions about this policy, please ask!
Q: Do you ship your puppies?
A: We do not offer cargo shipping on our puppies, however we are proud to offer a few options if you don't live close and would like to add a Magnolia Creek Corgi to your family. You're always welcome to fly in to the Destin, Pensacola or Montgomery airport where we will meet you with your baby. We can drive part way and meet you for an additional fee. Or, we can arrange personal, hand delivery (flown in cabin with constant care) to your local airport where you will meet and pick up your puppy. We have an exclusive partnership that allows us to offer extremely affordable prices for this service.
If you have a question that has not been addressed here, please contact us, I'd be happy to answer it.
